Rapple client portal: Privacy notice
Last updated 20 October 2026.
Responsible party. Rapple Products (Pty) Ltd, Reg. No. 2011/103047/07, Unit 20 Silver Park, Silver Street, Brackenfell, Cape Town, 7560. Information Officer: Maridene de Wet, maridene@rapple.co.za.
What the portal holds about you. Your business name and contact email (from your website account), your quotes, invoices, payments and statement, your delivery notes, and the name and signature of the person who signed for a delivery. We do not show our costs, margins or supplier details to clients.
Why. To show you your own account, let you accept quotes, and keep proof of delivery. This is part of performing our contract with you and keeping our legal and tax records.
Who sees it. You and the people in your business who use your login. Rapple staff who handle your account can open your portal in read-only view to help you. We use service providers (hosting, email) who must protect it. We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed outside South Africa by providers with comparable privacy protection.
How long. As long as we need it for your account and as long as the law requires us to keep invoices and delivery records.
Security. The portal uses an encrypted connection. Each client sees only their own information. Signed delivery copies are stored privately and shown only to the client they belong to. Login is through the Rapple website; the portal never stores your password.
Cookies. One session cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights. Ask the Information Officer in writing to see, correct or delete your information (we may need proof of identity, and some records must be kept by law). If you are unhappy, tell us first. You may also complain to the Information Regulator: POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, Woodmead North Office Park, 54 Maxwell Drive, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2191.
Children. The portal is for businesses; we do not knowingly collect information about children.
